People who have not played a game like this before may find the Newbie Guide especially useful. It is an introduction to the game that is suitable for beginners.
The Abattoir players mailing list is available here. It is very low traffic (no more than a couple of emails a month, if that) and keeps you up to date with any important changes or events.
