Golem

Although sometimes made of other substances, golems tend to be created out of earth and water, and bound together with a strong magical force. They came into being as servants to the powerful magic users that created them many years hence, but large numbers survive to this day, outliving not only their masters, but also the secrets of their creation.

Golems are not very quick-witted, but their extended life-spans allow them to acquire and retain masses of wisdom in their arcane minds. Additionally their composition lends them to physical endeavors requiring stamina and strength, such as combat.
